Huling Station Bourbon Whiskey

750 ML
USD

Old Dominick Huling Station is a small-batch bourbon; an homage to the whiskeys of 1886 Memphis, with a high-rye mash bill reminiscent of those offered by Domenico Canale in his heyday. In 1866, Domenico Canale’s spirits business was booming. Rail cars bearing oak-aged whiskeys rolled in and out of the D. Canale & Co. warehouse at Huling Station. Any bottle bearing the Old Dominick brand was known far and wide to be  fine whiskey. More than 150 years later, Huling Station Straight Bourbon is an homage to the whiskeys of 1866 Memphis, bottled at 100 proof and made from a high-rye mash bill reminiscent of the spirits offered by Domenico Canale.

Stone fruit and dark cherry sweetness balanced by rye spice, with a dry pipe tobacco and dark chocolate finish

WHAT IS TENNESSEE WHISKEY?

Tennessee Whiskey meets all the same legal requirements as bourbon, which means it must be made in the U.S., must be made from at least 51% corn, and must be stored in new, charred oak barrels.

But Tennessee Whiskey raises those standards even more. While bourbon doesn’t have to be made in Kentucky—contrary to a popular misconception—Tennessee whiskey must be produced in the state of Tennessee.

Before barrelling, Tennessee Whiskey must be filtered through sugar maple charcoal: the famous Lincoln County Process. That extra step removes certain esters and congeners, compounds that can make whiskey feel harsh.

• THE PROCESS •

From Grain to Glass

Crafted in the heart of Memphis, our process honors tradition with modern precision. Every drop is milled, distilled, and bottled on-site. The key to our taste? A dedication to old-world craftsmanship, including charcoal mellowing before the whiskey enters new American oak barrels. The result is a profile that is distinctly smooth and complex.

We had a wonderfully fantastic experience at the Old Dominick Distillery in Memphis! Even though we were traveling through and wouldn't be able to make the later tour, Matthew happily offered to give us an amazing and super informative tour of the distillery! Matthew made our tour really exciting and fun explaining both the history and processes used by the distillery! Also Rose at the bar was a joy to talk to and even gave us new ideas for things to explore in Memphis! We definitely liked her spirit to wear a cape that was the USA flag in celebration of 4th of July coming up! Would highly, highly recommend making a stop here passing by in Memphis or on a roadtrip through the city. Certainly a place worth enjoying! 😊
We ended up doing a spontaneous tour and were so incredibly pleased! Our guide was fantastic, extremely knowledgeable and truly passionate about the place and history. It was fascinating to see the whole production process from start to finish. I’m personally not a big fan of whiskey but loved the toddy! On top of that, the entire facility was very clean and well organized. It’s a thoroughly interesting experience and a must visit if you’re in the area!
The distillery tour of Old Dominick is one of the must do things in Memphis. The tour is highly engaging and interactive. We had Jake as our guide, who not only explained a lot but made it fun. Of course, the best part comes at the end, when one gets to taste the fine spirits of Old Dominick.
Phenomenal staff and amazing Tennessee whiskey. Such a great time doing the distillery tour. Elea was a great hostess and did an incredible job of representing the heritage of this great brand. Looking forward to more R&D bottles in the future! The double oak was incredible, now please put it on the shelves so I can buy it regularly!
Take the tour!! Have a few drinks, they're cheaper than most the bars in the area. Definitely visit the gift shop and get a sample or 2 before buying everything they sell. I loved the experience
